A forum for AGI members engaged in design education. The awesome Marc Catalá of Mucho and director of the PostGrafica program at IDEP Barcelona, will be guiding a discussion with a method for conversation built upon the Socratic dialogue, the human body and drawing diagrams. As both educators and makers, this session seeks to explore a rewarding exchange by conversation and through drawing. This year’s theme will be on the daunting topic of design education moving into the future. Similar to last year, this will be a more casual and intimate session with the objective of providing a platform for more exchange and discussion.

A selection of Japanese posters from the archive of the well-known DNP Foundation for Cultural Promotion in Japan and the Stedelijk Museum collection.

‘Best Designed Books 2018’
Every year, the Dutch Foundation De Best Verzorgde Boeken presents the most outstanding book designs of the past year. The publications in the exhibition will be selected for their distinctive design, typography, image treatment, graphic production, and overall balance between form and content. In good book design, the form complements the tone and feel of the content. Exceptional design stems from a collaboration between a client (usually a publisher), a designer and the graphic industry.
