This will include studio visits: Studio Spass / Niels Vrijdag / Team Thursday. Highlight will be a private Karel Marten’s exhibition where you can buy his latest books and limited edition prints.

Not to be missed by architecture enthusiast!

C) Roof Top Tour
Rotterdam has more flat rooftops than any other city in the Netherlands. This is partly a result of the reconstruction following the bombardment on May 14, 1940. 18.5 million square meters of flat rooftops are currently unused, 1 million of which are in the city centre. Join us on exploration along and on innovative and special rooftops in the city centre of Rotterdam. This tour is especially designed for Inside Rotterdam by Esther Wienese, rooftop specialist and author of the book Rotterdam Rooftops, taking resilience to a higher level. (Food tasting available)

D) Off the Beaten Track Tour
Join the highlights tour and get up close and personal with Rotterdam’s hotspots and hidden treasures. We will go behind the scenes of the highlights of the city. Get to know the real Rotterdam. An experience you simply can’t miss on your visit to Rotterdam. Combining modern architecture, history, Rotterdam culture, urban development, Harbor sights & stories, Dutch food, and hip & happening initiatives. (Food tasting available)

As both educators and makers, this session seeks to explore a rewarding exchange by conversation and through drawing. ‘Best Designed Books 2018’
Every year, the Dutch Foundation De Best Verzorgde Boeken presents the most outstanding book designs of the past year. The publications in the exhibition will be selected for their distinctive design, typography, image treatment, graphic production, and overall balance between form and content. In good book design, the form complements the tone and feel of the content. Exceptional design stems from a collaboration between a client (usually a publisher), a designer and the graphic industry.
